A young, passionate convert is trying to raise money to take her first trip to Israel on a trip with Nehirim, Keshet, and A Wider Bridge, who are organizing an awesome journey through the Negev, Jersualem, Tel Aviv, and the Golan Heights, meeting along the way with Jewish and Palestinian LGBT activists.
Here’s the itinerary. Money is a huge barrier for many post-Birthright young people, and many women and trans people as well, trying to make their way abroad.
It shouldn’t be. Please click through to Erika’s blog, www.blackgayjewish.com and kick in $5 or more via the PayPal link in the upper right. You’ll be glad you did, and the people like my husband and I, who will get to hang out with this awesome young voice, will thank you, too.
Thank you for posting about my trip on your blog! I’m keeping my fingers crossed that we’ll be there together!
